Vintage Classic Instruments is a Google 5-Star repair and restoration business with specialized focus on guitars and basses. Like you, we’re players and collectors, too. Your instrument is your passion: having your instrument be exactly as you need it to sound, play and look, is the only priority. It should be easy to play and enjoyable each time. With hundreds of custom setups, electronic repairs, fretwork and custom creations part of the work at VCI, the mission is clear: it must reflect your needs. If you have a new idea to add to your instrument, it’s all possible. Give a call or send a text. If you can imagine it, it can be made, found and installed. It may be a kill-switch, customized nut, vintage case or a bridge that no one else has.
“Speed” is not just in the logo. It’s a critical part of the business. Spending time with you and your instrument when you’re in the workshop is an important part of the process. It’ll never just be a drop-off. Delaying or stacking up your project behind others is a rare exception. Zac DelVecchio, luthier, brings his 15-year reputation to every detail needing attention. With a player, touring and builder reputation, plus a Berklee School of Music education, he understands a player’s needs for where instincts and emotion are shaped.
Vintage Classic Instruments landed in Oyster Bay for good reasons. First, it’s set in a stunning location with easy access for those coming from the east or west. NYC is close, especially by train, which is a 5- minute walk from VCI’s workshop. The coffee in town is good, too. So are the restaurants.

Zack was able to fix my sons Gibson SG bass after it took a header at at Rock Fantasy Camp same day while we waited. He even had a spare part that normally would have to be ordered. Thank you again. We'll be seeing you again soon.Posted on SyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Zach is the man! Brought him a Taylor 214 with a noisy pick up that needed to be fixed, and he was quick, thorough and transparent with everything that needed to be done. THE place to go for all your guitar maintenance needsPosted on M BTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Recently took in three vintage guitars to the shop for set-ups and repairs. Each guitar was a bit unique, but Chris and Zack knocked it out of the park. Not only did they do a superb job at fixing and setting up the guitars, they really took into consideration the style of music I play, how I like to play it, and how fast I needed it. Entire process was smooth and professional. Most importantly, within 30 seconds of talking to the guys, their passion and love for music instantly comes across. Will be going back.Load more
