A life in guitar and a vision to transform the instrument

From 13 years old Zac has been propelled to restore, build and design instruments with one goal in mind: How can you make something better with the artist’s wishes and needs as a first priority, and keep or evolve its beauty?. In order to fully emerge himself in the music industry Zac moved to Hollywood, CA where he cut his teeth working with amplifier legend, Dave Friedman. With a gnawing need to go deeper and discover the guitar as a technologist, entrepreneur and player, Zac attended the Berklee College of Music. From there, he moved to Nashville to understand what some of the most demanding studio musicians, stage performers and builders were doing for their clients. Then adding the need to build his knowledge by playing on stages and touring, Zac played with artists such as John Oates, Surfaces and many others, working with some of the guitar world’s most legendary names and makers. Zac experienced the difference of what true quality means. To imagine and explore the unknown, but always putting craftsmanship, the instrument and the player first. After eight years living the Nashville musical life, Zac brought back his experience to New York, the city he loves most to offer an experience that simply cannot be found elsewhere. Combining performing at the highest levels, building custom pedals boards, repairing and managing top artist’s guitars, and bringing his academic knowledge to his craft, Zac has rare surround-sound skills that define him as a guitar luthier.
